Through the examination of figures from certain Byzantine scientific treatises, this paper will analyse their contribution to the deployment and diffusion of scientific knowledge.
It will also discuss the ways in which these figures were developed (page layouts, iconography, etc.) to become real didactic and mnemonic tools in order to transmit knowledge in a different way…
